I am adopted!!

Winnie is a very sweet, happy girl. She loves to be around people. Winnie has a fair amount of energy and likes to run around so a fenced yard would be best for her. She also likes to entertain herself with a wide variety of toys. She is crate-trained and house-trained. Winnie loves to play with other dogs and ignores the cats she has met.

Winnie needs an experienced person to continue with her training and understand her breed. She has a tendency to nip when she is excited so Winnie cannot be placed with children.

Winnie is participating in our Rush to Rescue prison foster dog program, so she is being fostered by a pair of offenders at the Rush City Correctional Facility. While there, she will be attending a training program with a certified trainer and will be working on her commands with her handlers.

From Winnie's handlers:
Winnie is very energetic when it is playtime and she enjoys playing with other dogs that are around her same age. Winnie can run for a whole hour at a time. She enjoys her naptime too though, and when given the chance, she will sleep the whole afternoon away. One of Winnie's other favorite pastimes is watching out the window. She can spend long amounts of time just looking out the windows. Winnie enjoys her treats very much and has come a long way with her training. She will stay when told to and she will come when asked after she has been told to stay. Winnie will most always shake for a treat and has the sit thing down.
She really enjoys her nylabones. She can spend hours just chewing and has great enjoyment at doing so.
Winnie will most enjoy a place where she has lots of room to run.
