~George Bernard Shaw
Hank is a senior lab who was picked up as a stray by a police officer. The officer thought Hank had been hit by a car because he had a prominent limp. The vet at the impound did an X-ray and determined that Hank's injuries were not recent. After waiting weeks at the pound, we decided we couldn't let him sit there any longer, so Hank became the newest member of the Rescued Tails family.
We consulted with our orthopedic surgeon, and he said that Hank has bi-lateral severe chronic ACL tears in his rear knees, as well as severe bi-lateral arthritis. He stated that Hank's knees would be improved after surgery, although they would not be back to normal. Hank needs us to raise $3,000 - $3,450 in order to cover the costs of his knee surgeries. We really want to be able to do this for Hank to improve his quality of life. Please donate if you can!!

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED !!!
If you are not able to adopt an animal at this time, but would like to help animals, we have many opportunities for you. We are always in need of FOSTER HOMES. Our wonderful foster home volunteers enable us to literally save the lives of more animals - without our foster homes most of these animals would not be alive. It is a very rewarding experience to take in, and care for, a frightened abandoned animal and watch that animal grow in confidence and blossom into a wonderful companion pet. Please let us know if you would be willing to help save the life of a homeless animal by taking the animal into your home and heart and providing much needed foster care - we would be more than happy to tell you more - just give us a call or e-mail.
